Marilyn Jean Stone, a Tustin Unified School District educator for 41 years, taught for 28 years and spent 13 years as a school counselor. She became a member of the Epsilon Omicron Chapter in 1975. She was tirelessly active in both our chapter and at the state level. Her contributions to middle school education and her passion for DKG live on through the Marilyn Jean Stone Memorial Scholarship.
Qualifications: A Beginning Middle School Teacher who are in their first five years of teaching. The scholarship is a classroom grant to be used as the recipient sees fit.

Delores M. Bowles, a long-time Newport-Mesa educator, toughed the lives of students from kindergarten through college. An acclaimed speaker, she shared her knowledge about education worldwide. Lovingly referred to as "Peter Rabbit's Mama," she was an expert on Beatrix Potter and a collection of Peter Rabbit Memorabilia. Delores became a charter member of the Epsilon Omicron chapter in 1960. Her contributions to education and her passion for DKG continue through the Delores M. Bowles Scholarship.
Qualifications: Open to teachers who are Presently Student Teaching or who have recently completed Student Teaching. Scholarship recipients receive a grant to classroom materials during their first year of teaching.
